With Keio University (Japan) as the hub, SOI Asia comprises 31 partner institutions (as of October 2026), including universities, research institutes, and international organizations across 14 economies in the Asia Pacific.

Believing that deeper knowledge at the community level can contribute to solving global challenges, SOI Asia strongly supports the sharing of knowledge and expertise across communities. Its activities cover a range of fields, including disaster management, renewable energy, Internet technologies, and other areas relevant to communities across the region.

Knowledge and educational content are shared through the SOI network, connecting partner institutions and communities across Asia and the Pacific. UNESCO and other organizations have also supported the development and sharing of content addressing regional and global challenges.

SOI Asia and its partners share the belief that informed and connected communities can work together across borders to find solutions and build a more resilient future.
